We’re in the strongest buyer’s market I’ve seen in the 35 years I’ve been in RealEstate.
While this infografic is on the fun side, competition between sellers to get customers is fierce. Still, a few sellers are dreaming on getting the same prices as 3-4 years ago and risk having their properties sitting on the market for a long, long time.
Good news for them is that properties can sell, as long as the sellers are willing to put in some work on their part:
The first step is to lower the price if their house has been on the market for many months with no offers.
Then make a thorough search to find any cosmetic defects that you missed and can be repaired.
Get the exposure your home deserves through open houses, advertising, good signage and a listing on the multiple listing service (MLS).
Another option could be to pull the home off the market and wait for the market to improve. Have in mind that hat may take a longer time.
So sellers, It’s time to wake up and smell the Buyer’s market.
